I recently joined the #AghanEvac Coalition as a member of their communications team. It seemed a natural extension of my work assisting in the cases of individual Afghans; a way to help on the macro scale in addition to the micro scale.
We worked tirelessly advocating for the passage of the Afghan Adjustment Act before the end of the 2022 congressional session. Congress failed to bring it up for a vote.
But we’re not done. I’m happy that the San Diego Union Tribune helped give me a voice to explain WHY this act is so important.
